Leading in the film's post-production and assisting in the film's principal photography, Jonas took a strong leadership role within the University of Richmond Journalism Department's production of the short documentary film Beneath the Surface. With enriching interviews with expert historians and sophisticated analysis of the University's troubled past, Beneath the Surface explores the ramifications of the potential slave burial ground on the University of Richmond's campus.
