Jonas Fryer is an inspired and dedicated filmmaker with a range of production-related skills. Raised in Hingham, MA, Jonas is passionate about storytelling of any medium, but he was always particularly fond of filmmaking and its power to evoke such fervent responses from audience members. After graduating summa cum laude from the University of Richmond in 2021 with a double major in Film Studies and Economics, Jonas joined technical recruiting startup hatch I.T. as a Digital Media Producer where he's created over 150 videos focused on educating engineering candidates and well as helping to achieve internal sales and recruitment marketing goals. With experience in creative writing, directing, narration, camerawork, and especially video editing with sophisticated editing platforms like Adobe Creative Suite, Jonas is a jack-of-all-trades and a reliable team member. But more importantly, he will not shut up about movies, television, video games, or any other visual storytelling medium.

Written, directed, and edited by Jonas during his freshman year of college, Wake-Up Call is a narrative short film about two hyperintelligent phones who come to face the meaninglessness of their existence. Part comedy, part drama, part experimental animation/live-action hybrid, this unique story was a Semi-Finalist at the Poe International Film Festival, a nominee for Best Screenplay at the Poe Film Festival, and an Official Selection at the Top Shorts and First-Time Filmmaker Sessions festivals.

As a Digital Media Producer at hatch I.T., Jonas has edited over 150 videos focused on educating engineering candidates about software development, job search tips, and what they can expect when they enter the startup space. Leading in the film's post-production and assisting in the film's principal photography, Jonas took a strong leadership role within the University of Richmond Journalism Department's production of the short documentary film Beneath the Surface. With enriching interviews with expert historians and sophisticated analysis of the University's troubled past, Beneath the Surface explores the ramifications of the potential slave burial ground on the University of Richmond's campus.
Serving as the main producer and audio recorder on Captain Jackson, Jonas kept the production of this short film focused and organized. Directed by Hayden Hilbert, this film follows an aspiring comic artist who becomes obsessed with his own idealized version of himself, Captain Jackson.
